Une fois n'est pas coutume, nous reproduisons ci-après le communiqué de presse original (en anglais) paru ce jour sur le site de la banque. Même si elle ne pouvait évidemment pas faire autrement, nous ne pouvons qu'être édifié devant tant d'arrogance. Quand on sait toutes les erreurs manifestes et prouvées qui ont été réalisée sous le mandat de Jeroen Rijpkema, un seul mot nous vient à l'esprit : honteux ! Considérer que le rétablissement de la cotation des certificats est un progrès notable, c'est vraiment nous prendre pour des crétins des Alpes. Le côté positif est que cela démontre une fois encore l'auto-suffisance du management. Si le rétablissement de la cotation est un progrès, c'est qu'on ne s'est pas trompé, même si on change de cap avec Euronext, qui ne sera évidemment qu'une évolution, et pas une rectification. Si on ne s'est pas trompé, c'est qu'on avait raison. Et si on a raison, pourquoi voulez-vous discuter avec nous ? Cet avis tient lieu de faire-part à tous ceux qui pensent pouvoir arriver à quelque chose dans le cadre d'échanges verbeux avec Triodos. 

Voor één keer geven we hieronder het oorspronkelijke persbericht weer dat vandaag op de website van de bank is gepubliceerd (in het Engels). Zelfs als de bank uiteraard niet anders zou kunnen, kunnen wij alleen maar opgebouwd worden door zulke arrogantie. Als we alle voor de hand liggende en bewezen fouten kennen die onder het mandaat van Jeroen Rijpkema zijn gemaakt, komt er maar één woord in ons op: beschamend! Als we bedenken dat het opnieuw instellen van de lijst met certificaten een opmerkelijke vooruitgang is, houden we ons echt voor idioten uit de Alpen. Het positieve is dat dit eens te meer de zelfredzaamheid van het management aantoont. Als het herstel van de notering een vooruitgang is, is dat omdat we ons niet hebben vergist, ook al veranderen we van koers met Euronext, wat uiteraard slechts een evolutie zal zijn en geen rectificatie. Als we het niet mis hadden, hadden we gelijk. En als we gelijk hebben, waarom wil je dan met ons in discussie gaan? Deze kennisgeving dient als aankondiging voor iedereen die denkt iets te kunnen bereiken door uitvoerige uitwisselingen met Triodos.

Jeroen Rijpkema will hand over his role as CEO and Chairman of the Executive Board in 2025

Triodos Bank announced today that Jeroen Rijpkema has informed the Supervisory Board that he is not available to extend his tenure beyond 2025. In line with the end of his term of office he will leave as CEO and Chairman of the Executive Board of Triodos Bank after the Annual General Meeting in May 2025.


Jeroen Rijpkema, CEO and Chairman of the Executive Board: “In 2021 I initially joined Triodos Bank for a 2-year term and soon after I extended my term to 4 years, ending in May 2025. I am proud of all the progress we have made with our pursuit for positive impact, several strategic transitions, and improved financial results. I’m grateful for all the support I received from the Triodos Bank community. Looking forward, the end of my term next year is a natural moment for a new CEO to lead this unique and values-driven organisation to the next phase of leadership in finance change and change finance. Until that date, I will remain fully committed to the bank and all its stakeholders.”

Mike Nawas, Chairman of Triodos Bank’s Supervisory Board, added: “Under Jeroen’s inspirational and energising leadership Triodos Bank delivered on enhancing its impact and financial performance. Furthermore, good progress was delivered on three significant transitions: our capital transition, including restoring the tradability in Depository Receipts (DRs), our operating model transition and our leadership transition. We are very grateful for Jeroen’s great contribution and dedication to Triodos Bank.” 

The Nomination and Remuneration Committee of the Supervisory Board is leading the search for a suitable successor.
